Wills

A will is a written, signed, notarized, and witnessed instrument which complies with the execution formality requirements of the law. The primary functions of a will are to direct the payment of debts and expenses, distribute property to heirs, and nominate a "personal representative" to be in charge of these tasks. Wills can also nominate a guardian for minor children and contain trust provisions which only become operative upon the individual's death.
